NaPTAN API & Viewer

We are pleased to announce the launch of our NaPTAN API. As with all of our APIs, it is fully Open API v3 compliant and supports the latest OIDC + PKCE security.

Based on NaPTAN v2.4, the API allows easy read access to the full NaPTAN data set, as maintained by Local Authorities and published by the DfT. The API includes powerful search functionality that allows a user to locate Stop Points and Stop Areas by location, Common Name and a number or other attributes.

We have also developed a basic map-based NaPTAN Viewer to demonstrate the core functionality of the API – https://toolbox.elydium.co.uk/naptanviewer.

The API also supports full write access and can therefore be used as the back-end for NaPTAN Editors and Management Tools.
